Vicar's Newsletter for 16th August

Dear all,
Please note that the audio service available on Sunday is in three parts and no need to search for worship songs as these are part of the service! More information below.

The deadline for the holding of APCMs this year has been extended by a further month to 30th November.

A reminder that face coverings are now required by law to be worn in places of worship.

There are valid exemptions, in particular, those who are leading services or events in a place of worship, and those who assist them (for instance by reading, preaching, or leading prayer) do not always need to wear a face covering, although one should be worn especially if physical distancing cannot be maintained (i.e. distributing consumables). This exemption does not apply to worshippers, who should wear face coverings consistent with the requirements for any other public space.

Due to social distancing measures none of the Benefice churches is large enough to host a Benefice service on fifth Sundays of the month.
Please note that Holy Communion will only be received by the congregation in one kind (bread/wafer only). You are asked to follow the direction of a churchwarden/sidesperson and when you receive please return to your seat before removing your face covering to consume. Communion will be administered whilst standing. Kneeling at the communion rail is suspended.
Churches opening:
A form of online worship will continue to be made available on Sundays via the All Saints Hunmanby website. From Sunday 9th August the service available online will be an audio recording only from the live worship held in All Saints Hunmanby the previous Sunday. See below.

SUNDAY 16th AUGUST AUDIO SERVICE -   You will find the service in three parts and no need to search for worship songs as these are already included in the service.
Please note that as some of our churches are open for Sunday worship, our live-streamed service of Morning Prayer will be available on WEDNESDAYS ONLY at 9.00am.
A free phone line of hymns, reflections and prayers. Provided by the Church of England. Tel.  0800 804 8044

Spring Café open from 10.00am - 2.00pm on Mondays to Wednesdays each week as a take-away service only. When things return to some kind of new normal, the plan is to open the café again for sit-in drinks and meals. We have no idea when this might be possible.

The cafe door accessed from the churchyard will be the only one open.

My day off this week will be Friday.
If for any reason you prefer not to be included in this mailing please just send me an email and I will remove yours from the list. Many thanks.
Every blessing,
