Vicar's Newsletter for 9th August

Dear all,

Please note that the audio service available on Sunday is in three parts and no need to search for worship songs as these are part of the service! More information below.

FACE COVERINGS

From today, 8 August, face coverings are also required by law to be worn in a greater number of public indoor settings including places of worship, museums, galleries, cinemas and public libraries.

There are valid exemptions for some individuals and groups not to wear a face covering in these settings. Here below is the link to the detailed guidance, though this may change of course:

https://www.churchofengland.org/sites/default/files/2020-08/COVID%2019%20advice%20on%20face%20coverings%20v3%20DRAFT.pdf

In particular, those who are leading services or events in a place of worship, and those who assist them (for instance by reading, preaching, or leading prayer) do not always need to wear a face covering, although one should be worn especially if physical distancing cannot be maintained (i.e. distributing consumables). This exemption does not apply to worshippers, who should wear face coverings consistent with the requirements for any other public space (but see health or other related exemptions in the link above).

For obvious reasons there will not be a joint Benefice service held in any of our churches on 30th August.

HOLY COMMUNION
Please note that Holy Communion will only be received by the congregation in one kind (bread/wafer only). You are asked to follow the direction of a churchwarden/sidesperson and when you receive please return to your seat before removing your face covering to consume. Communion will be administered whilst standing. Kneeling at the communion rail is suspended.

Churches opening:
A form of online worship will continue to be made available on Sundays via the All Saints Hunmanby website. From Sunday 9th August the service available online will be an audio recording only from the live worship held in All Saints Hunmanby the previous Sunday. See below.

Prerecorded Video Service on Sunday 9th August:
Please find attached at the bottom of the vicars email (sent seperatly) the order of service for Sunday in a Word format. It should print on two sides of A4. This will enable you to participate in our prerecorded live AUDIO service (like a radio service).
Here is the All Saints Hunmanby website link in blue for Sunday morning - The service will be available anytime on Sunday.

SUNDAY 9th AUGUST AUDIO SERVICE -   You will find the service in three parts and no need to search for worship songs as these are already included in the service.  For those who listen to this online, yes, I do realise the list of the fruit of the Spirit I refer to is in Galatians not Ephesians! Apologies.
