Vicars Newsletter for 3rd May

Dear all,
I trust you are keeping well and bearing up through these ongoing, restrictive times.
Please find attached at the bottom of this email the order of service for Sunday in a Word format. It should print on two sides of A4.
Here is the All Saints website link in blue for Sunday morning - why not link up at 10.00am? Just a suggestion!
Left click on the blue link above to take you to another blue link with the new, more user-friendly service video with hymn list as per last Sunday ( NB it's not 'left click' if you are receiving this on a tablet or mobile - see new advice below!). Please read the various device advice supplied on last week's service-link email before clicking on this link if you are not sure.
A shorter version of Morning Prayer will continue this coming week from Monday to Thursday at 9.00am on the
Cafe and Church Facebook site.
Here is the link for those who would like to access this opportunity to share in prayer.
Monday to Thursday Morning Prayer at 9am:
The video remains on the home page for those who might wish to join in at another time.
Friday 8th May marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the WW2 in Europe. Given that all planned services have been cancelled it may be possible to combine this with VJ  Day 75 on 15th August. I'm sure the CofE will be offering guidance about this in due course.
Linda and Keith Butler live in Hunmanby and worship at All Saints Muston. They have asked if I would forward an email concerning a fundraising event for their granddaughter, Eleanor, and I have agreed to do this. We have been praying for Eleanor for a long time as she has undergone various difficult and painful operations. When the forwarded email arrives you will know that it is not a scam. A small percentage of people are having trouble drawing down their funds from 'GoFundMe' but Eleanor's mother, Yvonne, is not one of them. Please call me if you would like any further information. Thank you.
Jane Cheesbrough sends her love and thanks to all who have prayed for her over the past week. She is recovering well and is so thankful to the Lord for His care.
[Jane is a Recognised Parish Assistant for Worship at All Saints Hunmanby]
Last week I mentioned about a national scam related to church giving. This is simply a reminder of what I said some weeks ago about your regular offerings. If you use an envelope scheme please just keep them until such time as we are able to worship together again. But some people have kindly set up a Direct Debit with their bank so that their offering goes into their church account automatically each month. This is something many of us have been doing for years. If you would like to consider this method please do please get in touch with your parish treasurer. Many thanks.
If for any reason you prefer not to be included on this mailing please just send me an email and I will remove yours from the list. Many thanks.
Just a reminder that I am taking a few days off from benefice duties from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May.
Friday 8th May will be my day off in the coming week.
Every blessing,

Revd Tim Parker
