Our prayers continue for His Majesty King Charles and the royal family as they prepare for the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's funeral on Monday. 

 

* Please note that I will be away on a silent retreat from Monday afternoon (19th) and back into work on Saturday 24th September.

Just a reminder St Nicholas Church will be open to visitors to be able to look around and view the interior of the church April 15th to October 22nd. Opening hours will be 10.00am to 4.00pm MON TO SAT and 11.00 am to 5.00pm SUNDAY.  We hope as many of you as possible will be able to visit and bring your friends. Many thanks to all the helpers who kindly work the opening and closing rota.

Many thanks to all who helped in any way with the Heritage Day in the Spring last Saturday and to all church-sitters who enabled people to visit the church for quiet reflection.   

 

NB Saturday 17th Sept. 'Coastwatch' coffee morning at Spring Cafe not happening -  postponed until 12th November!

 

CEREMONY TO MARK THE VIGIL ON CROSS HILL 

8.00pm this Sunday 18th -

A Moment of Reflection on the Eve of the Funeral of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Please note there will be a short ceremony to mark the Vigil on Cross Hill. If attending please arrive by 7.55pm. Thank you. 

 

CHILDREN IN DISTRESS

The leaflets to go with your shoe boxes are now available.  Please pick one up as you leave.  If you have any queries ask Jane or John Ellerington. Don’t forget you can make a start on filling your box by coming to the coffee morning this coming Thursday 22nd 10.00am at 4 Stonegate Court ….. or just come for a chat and cake!

 

CHILDREN IN DISTRESS
Children in Distress – unbelievably it’s time to start thinking about shoe boxes again so we shall have our coffee morning when hats and other knitted items will be available for you.  It will be on THURSDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER from 10.00am till noon at 4, Stonegate Court. 
 
DECORATING CHURCH🍁🍂🌿🌾🍏🍍🍈 

Harvest Celebration – 25th September at 11am. We need some decorating with flowers and produce in church. Please will people join us on Friday 23rd September - 10am in church. Please bring contributions of flowers and produce with you.

Friday 30th September 10.00 till 12noon - come to the Spring at 10.00am if your small group is interested in hearing about how to obtain funding from local sources.

SPRING CAFE: drop-ins welcome when Spring is open

Why not enjoy a drink or more in the outdoor space attached to the Spring Café this week? Plenty of space to bring a friend or even a house group!

FROM 1.00pm The square dancing group will meet .... newcomers welcome as a new square is being formed! 

Wednesday 21st  

Café open 10.00am - 2.00pm Drinks and cakes available - CAMEO hot meal is 12noon onwards. Set price of £5.50 for 2-course meal. 

2.30pm Book Club 

Friday 23rd  

Café open 9.00am—1.00pm 

12noon Community meal in Spring café— a  minimum donation of £3 would help towards covering costs—thank you.

HUN-FREE COMMUNITY FRIDGE:  (Please note - each session will close when all the food has gone)

HunFree the Hunmanby Community Fridge will operate on Monday morning from 9.30am (NOT MONDAY 19TH) and Friday afternoon from 1.45pm when tea/coffee will be available.
