Vicar's Newsletter for 6th December

Dear all,

Our collective worship recommences this weekend. Please see below the provisional details for December services in our churches. Unfortunately, congregational singing is still not permitted inside our church buildings but is possible outside with appropriate 2m social distancing.

Please do get in touch with me if you have any questions or just to have a chat.

Prerecorded Audio Service on Sunday 6th December:  The Second Sunday of Advent
This will enable you to participate in our prerecorded live AUDIO service (like a radio service). It was recorded on Tuesday.
Here is the All Saints Hunmanby website link in blue for Sunday morning - The service will be available anytime on Sunday.

SUNDAY 6th December AUDIO SERVICE -   You will find the service in two or three parts and no need to search for worship songs as these are already included in the service.

A reminder that names of those attending collective worship must be recorded and kept for 21 days for the Test and Trace system. Face coverings are now required by law to be worn in places of worship. Congregational singing is still not permitted.

This week - Saturday Morning Open Prayer Meeting for the Benefice on Zoom
If you haven't already done so, why not download Zoom onto your device (it's free) and join a 9.30am to 10.00am Saturday morning prayer meeting for the Hertford Benefice. Let me know by Thursday 10th December if you would like to join in on Saturday 12th. I will then send you the link to join the meeting which you join using video - i.e. your device camera (so we can all see each other!). You will be invited to join some minutes early for a 'meet and greet' and to sort any technical issues. Please check that your camera and microphone are unmuted.

HUNMANBY WINTER WONDERLAND

GIVING AT ALL SAINTS HUNMANBY
During these difficult times for the economy our bank for All Saints Hunmanby (we have an account with CAF Bank) is raising its bank charges from 4th January 2021. Due to the generous giving of the congregation, this increase is going to affect us considerably. Up till now we have only paid £60 in bank charges each year. Because of the way we have to pay into the bank using cheques and cash these charges could rise to as much as £600. So my appeal to you is that if at all possible we would be most grateful please if you could transfer your cheque or cash giving to Direct Debit. This does not have to be monthly (it could be quarterly or annual) and can be altered or cancelled at any time. Setting up a Direct Debit is a simple procedure. For more information please speak with our PCC Treasurer, Jennifer Copeman, on 01723 891831  Many thanks. And thank you again to those of you who have already kindly set up a DD this year.
Here is the necessary information to set up a DD for
All Saints Church Hunmanby PCC:
Sort Code: 40-52-40      Acc. no. 00009881
If you do set up a DD can you please inform Jennifer. Thank you.

SPRING CAFE CLOSED
Due to government guidance in lockdown 2 the Spring Cafe is now closed and will open again on 4th January 2021, all being well.

If for any reason you prefer not to be included in this mailing please just send me an email and I will remove yours from the list. Many thanks.

Every blessing,
Tim
