Vicar's Newsletter for Easter

Dear all,

This newsletter comes with my very best wishes and prayers for a grace filled Easter as we celebrate the resurrection of our Saviour.  Hunmanby has services on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Four of the benefice churches have services on Easter Day. Details below. There are also short, especially pre-recorded services for Good Friday and then for Easter Day available on the Hunmanby website - link below.

Adherence to the strictly applied Covid-safe rules will be required by all who attend including wearing of mask*, gelling hands on entry and exit, staying 2m apart and not mingling inside church. Up to 6 people may now meet socially distanced outside.  (*unless medically exempt)

Please note that the online service this Sunday will be available in one file.
Please see new instructions below.  We now have an increased file capacity available, so we are hoping your listening experience will be improved this week. Thank you.

Please do get in touch with me if you have any questions or just to have a chat.

Prerecorded Audio Services For Good Friday 2nd April & then Easter Day: You can find the service and songs with the sound file.

Good Friday and Easter Day AUDIO SERVICES -  You will find the services in separate files on the appropriate days.

Then the song words and order of service are available to be clicked with the sound file.

Previous weeks' services now remain available.

A reminder that names of those attending collective worship must be recorded and kept for 21 days for the Test and Trace system. Face coverings are now required by law to be worn in places of worship. Congregational singing is still not permitted.

LIVING CHRIST’S STORY – CONSULTATION PRAYER

God our loving Father, you have called your Church into being in your love and strengthened us for your service. Amen.

A message from Liz Calver at Cross Hill Methodist Church.
'Some of you will remember Rev Brice Herbert, Methodist minister, who came to Hunmanby from New Zealand.  He arrived in 2007 for one year....and stayed for four! Brice died peacefully on Wed 24th March with his wife Judith and family at his side.  We remember Brice  in so many ways....his beautiful floral arrangements may come to many minds.....but those of us at Hunmanby will remember a caring, inspirational Minister who exemplified the love and grace of God in all he did.’
