FACE TO FACE SAFEGUARDING SESSIONS IN THE DEANERY
I am pleased to tell you that we have arranged for the Deanery, 'Face to Face' Safeguarding Sessions with Jenny Price Safeguarding Trainer in the Diocese of York. 
These will take place on Saturday 24th June at Westway Open Arms Eastfield Scarborough  YO11 3EE. 
The Basic Awareness Session 10am to begin at 10.15 - 12.30pm 
The Foundation Level Session 1.15pm - 3.15pm
Bring your own lunch, drinks will be available.
Car parking available.

ASCENSION DAY 'THY KINGDOM COME' RESOURCES

Ascension Day is the start of the 10-day ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer event in preparation for Pentecost. Thy Kingdom Come booklets with reflections and prayers will hopefully be available for all on Sunday in church for you to take home and use from 18th to 28th May.

AWAKENING THE COASTLANDS - Thursday 25th May  from 1.00pm to 3.00pm 
Awakening the Coastlands is an opportunity to pray together for revival. This will be held at St. Martin's Church, Main Street, Seamer, Scarborough YO12 4PS (NB change of venue!) and will be open to all, not just church leaders. Jared Cooper will be speaking and Rob Parker leading worship. Drinks will be available.

CHURCH OPEN ON SATURDAY MORNINGS IN MAY

The church is open for visits and private prayer on the Saturdays in May from 10.00am to 12 noon. Many thanks to those who have kindly agreed to church-sit.

Funeral Service 

The funeral service for Janet Whitehead will take place at 1.30pm on Monday 15th May at St. Mary's Church, Scarborough.

If you are able to help serve tea and coffee on Sunday mornings, could you please sign the rota on the notice board at the back of church. Thank you. 
 

Spring Cafe

 

SINGING GROUP

Every SECOND and FOURTH Tuesday of the month 10.30am till 12 noon. You are welcome to join us to exercise your vocal cords, socialise and enjoy coffee and cake ( as well as keep warm!). 

 

SATURDAY PRAYERS

Next prayers in church on 13th and 20th May 9.30am - 10.00am. 

 

 WELCOME SPACES:

The cafe is one of many places across the borough offering a warm and welcome space. This new initiative ensures that over the coming winter months you will always have the option to come and enjoy friendship in a warm environment where a hot drink is available and should you need it, plus information about coping in these challenging times. Call in to find out more

CAMEO (Come and meet each other) meal from 12noon onwards - set price of £5.50 for 2-course meal with a drink, 

Plus from 11.30am 'Forget me not' dementia-friendly group meets.

Friday 19th 

Spring Cafe open 9.00am—1.00pm 

From 12noon Community Meal - suggested donation of £3.00 to cover costs 

from 1.45pm Hun-Free Fridge (Free food for all to avoid it going to waste) in Spring café 

Saturday 20th 

9.30am Prayers in church 

7.00pm Filey Fishermen's Choir concert in church

HUN-FREE COMMUNITY FRIDGE:  (Please note - each session will close when all the food has gone)

HunFree the Hunmanby Community Fridge will operate on Monday morningfrom 9.30am and Friday afternoon from 1.45pmwhen tea/coffee will be available.
