Vicars Newsletter for 24th May

Dear all,
Here is the latest news for the Hertford Benefice.
Prerecorded Video Service for Sunday:
Here is the All Saints Hunmanby website link in blue for Sunday morning - The service will be available anytime on Sunday.
Why not link up at around 10.00am? Simply a suggestion.
Left click on the blue link above to take you to another blue link with the new, more user-friendly service video with hymn list as per previous Sundays ( NB it's not 'left click' if you are receiving this on a tablet or smart phone - new advice was supplied for Sunday 28th April).
The video remains available after Sunday.
A shorter version of Morning Prayer (normally less than 15 minutes long) will continue to be live-streamed this coming week from Tuesday to Thursday at 9.00am on the Spring Cafe and Church Facebook site.
Here is the link for those who would like to access this opportunity to share in prayer.
Tuesday to Thursday Morning Prayer at 9am:
The video remains on the home page for those who might wish to join in at another time.

The Archbishop of York is to preach as part of the national online service broad-cast by the Church of England on Sunday 7th June at 9.00am. This will be the last day in his role as Archbishop of York. His wife, the Revd Margaret Sentamu, will lead a time of prayer in the service. The Archbishop said, “I am pleased to have this opportunity for the second time to take part in this online service on what will be my last day in office. Like many of us, I too, am missing being able to worship alongside others. I hope that many will join us on 7th June as we continue this way of worshipping. "We know that these times will pass and change will come, but our Lord and Saviour, King and Friend never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and for ever -and deserves our never-ending praise! ‘Come let us bow down, kneel and worship the Lord our Maker’ ”.

You will be able to watch the service live or on replay via the

Church of England’s Facebook page

or the Church of England website.

A GIFT Some people have asked how they can make a gift of appreciation to the Archbishop and the Revd Margaret Sentamu.

If you wish to make an individual contribution in the present circumstances it would help the staff at Diocesan Office immensely if it can be made by bank transfer, rather than cheque or cash. ease could we therefore ask you to do two things: Firstly, please make your bank transfer to the York Diocesan Board of Finance account as follows:

Bank Name: Barclays Bank plc

Branch: York City Centre

Account Name: York Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd

Sort Code: 20-99-15

Account Number: 30985759

And as the reference put ABY GIFT

And secondly, so that we can compile a list of contributors, please send an email confirming your gift, and adding a message for the Archbishop and Mrs Sentamu if you wish to do so, to the Bishop of Whitby’s PA:

And again in the subject line put ABY GIFT.

I plan to be off this week on Monday (a Bank Holiday) and Friday.
If for any reason you prefer not to be included on this mailing please just send me an email and I will remove yours from the list. Many thanks.
Every blessing,

Revd Tim Parker
